AVIRATHA  QUIZ…. THAT ANTHA HELI….  

     On the special occasion of Suvarna Karnataka, the Aviratha Organization  hosted Thatt Antha Heli, a popular quiz on Doordarshan. For the first time this quiz was conducted specifically for the IT-BT-BPO organizations.

       This entire event was successfully conducted in 13 episodes, which was telecast from the September first week on every Friday night between 9:30 and 10:00 and the same episode was re-telecast on Saturday at 11:00am.       Every team had two members from each company. Every company had many teams participating in the event. The qualifying round was a written paper on the basis of the CET exam. There was an entry fee of Rs500 per team. In the last week of August, the inaugural round was held at Government Arts College.

       There were 55 teams from 27 companies. There were 9 teams who made it to the semi-finals. They were from Granium, Nokia, Honey Well, Infosys, Intel, LGCNS and TCS. There was a tough competition in the finals which was fought out by 3 teams which were from Granium, Infosys and Nokia. The Final Winners were Narayana Swamy and Raghavendra from Infosys. Natesh and Prasad from Granium won the second place; the team from Nokia won the third place. This event of pride which was conducted for IT-BT sector, running successfully for 13 weeks is an added feather in the caps and records of both Doordarshan as well as Aviratha.

       This event was not to test the sportsmanship of the Kannadiga’s in the IT-BT industry but was an initiative to provoke their awareness about Kannada amongst them. The main objective of this event was to enhance the knowledge of the Kannadiga IT employees, to retain, enrich and enhance the beauty, glory of Kannada and Karnataka.
